Training Philosophy

Core principles that guide our approach

American football demands position-specific athleticism. Linemen need maximal strength and explosive power in short bursts. Skill positions require speed, agility, and the ability to accelerate and decelerate rapidly. All positions benefit from collision preparation and injury resilience. Key principles: - Position-specific training is non-negotiable - Explosive power trumps slow strength - Injury prevention is performance enhancement - In-season training maintains what off-season built - Recovery is as important as training Physical demands vary dramatically by position: - Linemen: Maximal strength, short-burst power, leverage - Linebackers/Tight Ends: Hybrid power-endurance, collision readiness - Skill Positions: Speed, acceleration, change of direction - All Positions: Neck strength, core stability, injury resilience
